Murraymullet has submitted an awesome piece that’s now up for voting at Threadless. “Mr. Tee” is a portrait of Mr. T made entirely of t-shirts. The folds, creases, and shadows are perfect! Why did I never think of this brilliant idea? I definitely want to see this printed!

I decided to make a FFFUUUU cartoon to explain my frustrations of the new iPad in a sophisticated manner.

One of the coolest Threadless tees that I’ve seen in a while was released this week. Titled “Arcade Expressionism,” Laser Bread’s homage to Donkey Kong combines an old-school video game with abstract art. This was one of the pieces that Laser Bread made for his 2009 Make Something Cool Every Day project, and I’m glad that it was submitted for voting. Even if you’re unfamiliar with the game, it’s still pretty awesome to look at and interpret.

Glamnation, also known as Dennis Chow, is a super awesome artist and graphic designer. His bold graphic work reminds me of comic books, punk music and the 80’s. Working for/with such super companies as Nike, Mishka and Momentum his work is definetly recieving the recognition it deserves. Check it out ! http://www.glamnation.ca/

I know that this is my second Munny post in a row, but these guys were too cool to not write about. Farkfk has been working on a series of custom Munny toys called the “Montana Series.” These Munny figures are painted with Montana Gold spray paint, and what’s especially neat is that the spray cans become home for these toys. These Munny are each painted with one color, but because of the creative use of the cans, they’re by no means boring to look at! Check out other amazing vinyl toy customizations at Farkfk’s flickr.

This is a whole blog about a dad who paints these lunch bags for his kids everyday, what a sweet thing to do. Definetly a memory I hope they keep and an idea I hope inspires other people to create art out of ordinary supermarket products.

I’ve been looking at tons of custom Munny toys lately, and just now I came across a new custom Munny being auctioned off in order to support the victims of the Haitian earthquake. This mini Munny toy is customized with stitched leather and aside from looking awesome, it was created for an amazing cause. All of the proceeds from this piece will be donated to the Red Cross. Check out the auction by clicking on the image below.

Audrey’s drawings and paintings are truly beautiful, I love the simplicity and ornate lines she uses to illustrate her dark haired women. The link I’ve posted shows some of her work in progress and it’s inspiring to see her work in it’s rawwest form, still looking so delicate and elegant. The wood canvas, the simple lines, the women’s beauty, the subject material, everying about them I love. Again, inspiration.
