The Lowdtown Friends & Freaks Winter Line is out now!
The Cleanbean Crewneck:
This is a character concept I’ve been working on for a while, you’ll definitely be seeing him again in the future!
The Voracious Crewneck:
An update to the Insatiable tee.
Unikid:
A collaboration with Attila Szamosi of Peachbeach. I did the character, and Attila did all the type, background, and coloring.
Lowdtown Leather Wallet:
The first accessory for Lowdtown. A high-quality, slim-profile wallet with an embossed Lowdtown mouth on the front and type logo embossed on the inside pocket.
Amazing director of classics such as Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands and so on, Tim Burton was featured at New York’s Museum of Modern Art recently. The exhibit has opened and is running through until April 26th. This video is a really good interview with the dude himself, about the exhibition and his feelings about art throughout his life.
If you dont know, the new Drop Dead line dropped last night, http://iheartdropdead.com – full of big cartoons, good looking models and pretty awesome cut and sew clothing shown in a sweet fullscreen lookbook.
They’ve done more and more cut and sew each line, which is great for any brand because it allows them to become more diverse and this line they’ve decided to even make their own shirts instead of using AA. It may seem kinda unnecessary, but then shirts like Ant Burner wouldn’t be possible. Some of the stuff looks like they’ve just found something to put their kitty logo on, which looks rad but isn’t that inspiring or interesting; however other things like the creative Wild Cats hoodie and the Spacewolf jumper definitely make up for it. I’ve decided to list my favourite 3 items in the new line, things which I think really showed the brand progressing and I would wear myself. Overall I really like the new line, but I much prefer the clothing items which seem to be more thought out, then the cheaper accessories. A+ !
If you didn’t already know, the Lowdtown Friends & Freaks Fall 2009 line has launched! There are 5 new designs, one of which was a collaboration with German illustrator Dennis Schuster.
I think this is really a step in the right direction for Lowdtown. Not only is the line really cohesive, it also shows the fun and mature side of Lowdtown. There are character driven designs like the Forget the Facts Raglan, and there are simple designs like the Black on Black logo tee.
I really tried experimenting this time around too. I tried a variety of inks, placements, and sizes. On the insatiable tee, there’s a jumbo print with waterbased ink. On the Black on Black logo tee, there’s a really unique print with a specialty gel ink that has a shine to it. On the Slipscript tee, there’s a print over the neck, which I think is really cool.
Overall, I’m really happy with the new launch, and if you want to support Lowdtown, pick up a shirt today!
Ok, so I realize that I’ve really been missing in action for a while. Well first of all, I finished up freshman year at school and I was loaded with finals and final projects and stuff. Second of all, I know I haven’t been blogging or twittering or whatever, so I’ve really been out of the technological loop.
So here’s the deal, unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be releasing a new product for June. Though I wanted to, I was neither prepared, nor did I order them in time to release them.
I haven’t had an adequate amount of time to devote to Lowdtown recently, so I think that I’ve come up with a good solution. From now on, Lowdtown will be releasing new clothes by season rather than by month. I hope there will be no backlash, because I think I have good reasoning. Being a student, I don’t have the luxury of being able to work full-time on Lowdtown, so I barely have enough time per month to come up with new designs. Also, if I design lines per season, they will have a lot more thought behind them, and the lines will be much more cohesive. I have a lot of plans to evolve Lowdtown Friends & Freaks into an even greater brand. And with more time I’ll have the opportunity to release more unique, production-heavy products too.
Don’t worry though, I have a bunch of great ideas for the future, but right now I just need some time to sort things out. When Lowdtown returns, I guarantee it will come back with a bang. Til then, I’ll try to spend some time over the summer on promotion and hopefully have more time to spend on blogging to keep my fans updated.

Hey, I launched fuwafuwapoo.com today! It’s my portfolio featuring a bunch of my awesome work, haha. The thing I’m most proud of is my motion reel, check it out below!
This is pretty much a culmination of a bajillion hours of work that was spent on each of those projects, and it feels really good to see them all in one clip. I sent it in to a motion graphics firm that I’m hoping to work for this summer, with me luck!
